Joseph Brearley3 Widney (Samuel2, Charles1, James), son of Samuel2 and Joanna (Brearley) Widney, was born 12 Jul 1828, PA, and died 25 Nov 1862, Bowling Green, KY. He is buried in the Nashville National Cemetery, South Madison, TN.

He married, Jane Moore.

He enlisted from Newville, IN, in Co. H, 88th Indiana Volunteer Infantry, 29 Aug 1862.
