Date: Fri, 30 Jul 1999 16:16:44 -0700 to shaun boone whitny of seattlle washington thanks for the map site address you sent in to the group! it was my first concrete connection to the whitneys on the wye river england. do u know if this is where the mansion ruins are that pierce speaks of in his book on john whitney and his descendants? i am trying to locate the exact spot in england where john whitney's anscestors (and thus mine) had this mansion and chapel on the wye before i visit england and ireland either next summer or the following summer. can anyone help me solve this puzzle? i would appreciate all the assistance i can get!
