From: ALLAGREEN -at- aol.com Subject: Re: [WHITNEY-L] Manor Records Date: Mon, 5 Jul 2004 14:30:24 EDT Hi Sheila: Yes, it has been a while since we have communicated. The location of these "old Whitney family papers" would tend to confirm the location of the family at Whitney, on the Welsh border of Co. Hereford. It would also tend to suggest that the many Whitney + Various Welsh persons marriages were properly discovered. That these persons in these old records are clearly connected to the Whitneys in America that descended either from John and Elinor, Henry, or Samuel Whitney is another matter. What the website says is present is collections of deeds, wills correspondance and manorial papers from 1333 to 1889. Within that, what is present is anyone's guess. If you have not yet done so, go to the WRG website and click on Reunion 2004. In the listing of the program, Robert Ward's paper is listed as a link, which means you can follow the link and read it. So far, it is the only one so linked, but the others will be up eventually -- even mine. Nice to hear from you again. Happy Hunting! Allan E. Green
