I haven't been able to find a biography of Arthur Whitney other than this sentence from D&W's history page: "In 1981, the firm adopted a shorter, permanent name by combining Dorsey with the last to survive of the pre-World War II partners: Arthur Whitney, leader of the firm's public finance practice." You'd think he'd be in the local Who's Who or other such directory-- they claim to be one of the top 35 law firms in the country-- but no luck finding him therein thus far.
