Welcome to the Whitney Research Group! We're happy to have you as a member.

Thank you for creating pages for your direct ancestors Sarah⁵ (Whitney) Fowler and Elizabeth (Fowler) McKune. I have taken the liberty of adjusting the format of those pages in some relatively minor ways, and adding your name and link to your User: page in the copyright line.

I have made pages for very few Whitney daughters or their descendants, concentrating (at least for the near future) on the sons, who carry the Whitney surname forward. If you are interested in pursuing that, you are welcome to do so.

You have included links to several Fowler and McKune pages which currently do not point to any existing pages. If you are planning to create those pages, that's fine. If not, you or I should remove those links.

We feel that it is important to cite sources whenever possible. This is purpose of the {{ref|1}} and {{note|1}} constructs for footnotes and references. They are used for specific statements made and the supporting source. On each of your pages I have added a link to our transcription of Phoenix's book as a general reference for the whole page, rather than link each datum to that same page.

We're glad to see someone making a positive contribution.
