Welcome to the Whitney Research Group website! I see that you've found out how to edit pages, so please feel free to continue that. You can also add new families by using the Add a new page link in the box on the left side of each page. Don't worry about doing it 'right', as I will see and clean up anything that you add. I will also link pages together as well.
I see that you descend fromt he Norton Canon, Herefordshire Whitney branch. This family was one of several early Herefordshire branches that I researched just a couple of weeks back. I have now linked in these family group pages to your lineage listing, so you can access them easily. Please feel free to add to these pages.
Are there any male Whitneys still living that descend from this branch? The WRG would LOVE to have someone from your branch tested as part of our Whitney DNA Study. We've been able to get the signature profiles of both of the main Whitney immigrants to the United States, and we would love to compare them to the signatures of other branches from Herefordshire. Please contact me about this if there is anyone in your family who is a direct Whitney descendant.
