A register of deaths that occurred in Newfane, Vermont, including one Arrathusa Whitney, who I believe is the "Widow Bruce" who married Major Timothy Holt Whitney. This picture was taken by me at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City from film # 2297105, which shows "Records of marriages, births, and deaths (1761-1994)". The reason I believe this is because 1) This record lists "Arrathusa Whitney" who has a father and mother named "Wm and Arathusa Bartlett" and who died in 1 Oct 1868 at age 74 years and 2 months exactly which would make her birthdate 1 Aug 1794. 2) The 1850 census shows "Arethusa Whitney" married to "Timo H Whitney" and also lists a woman named "Areebah Bartlett", who is listed as 89 years of age, living with them.
