Mary5 Whitney (Joseph4, Joseph3, John2, Henry1), daughter of Joseph4 and Mary (Coit) Whitney, was born 12 Aug 1755, Norwalk, CT, and died 31 Oct 1827, Norwalk, CT, aged 72 years 2 months 19 days. She was buried in St. Paul's Churchyard.

She married 26 Mar 1775, Norwalk, CT, Hanford Fairweather,[1] son of Thomas and Mary (Hanford) Fairweather. He was born say 1752, Norwalk, CT, and died 27 Aug 1795, Norwalk, CT.

Phoenix says the following:[2]

vi. Maria Fairweather, b. 10 Sep 1788, Norwalk, CT; m. Daniel Curtis.
vii. Betsey Fairweather, b. 29 Mar 1790, Norwalk, CT; m. Daniel Nash.
viii. Benjamin Fairweather, b. 27 Sep 1792, Norwalk, CT; a mariner; and, according to tradition, he was lost at sea.
