I descend from John Whitney (wife Elinor) who settled in Watertown, MA. He had a son Richard, who had a Richard Jr. The direct line continues through Deacon/Capt. Jonathan Whitney of MA to Caleb Whitney.  One of Caleb's sons was Joseph Whitney who married a lady named Esther (Esther Crittendon according to my Grandfather Charles

(Cleveland area), OH.  Willis' son Charles Willis Whitney (b. 1902 in Canton) was my grandfather, and his daughter Marilyn Whitney (b. 1927 in Cleveland), my mother.
