I'm a passionate amateur (redundancy?) genealogist who is concerned primarily with my own and my husband's lineage. A great-great grandmother of his was an obscure Whitney, my search for whom led me to this extraordinary site. In the process of looking for her ancestry, I have come across some Whitney data not yet included here, so I am adding it in thanks for the useful information I have gleaned.
