I am told our Whitney lineage goes back to John Whitney who immigrated to Massachusetts in 1635. From a great aunt's research the line is supposed to go: 1. John Whitney, 2. Benjamin Whitney (youngest son of John)to 3. Joshua Whitney to 4. Joshua Whitney and then to 5. Silas Whitney, born in MA. to 6. Simeon Whitney b. 1802 married to Temperance and in 1830 was in Manlius, N.Y. From that point we have Simeon(6)s' son 7. Charles H. Whitney then 8.Theodore Whitney (my grandfather) in Cuylerville N.Y.
In searching through the various lineages in the WRG I have not been able to find the link from Joshua #4 to #5 Silas. Can someone direct me to the correct link or steer me to be able to find the correct link. Thank You Doug Whitney (10)
