Thomas Whitney9 Randall (Olive8 Guthrie, Sarah7 Whitney, Joshua6, Thomas5, William4, William3, Joshua2, John1), son of Allen and Olive8 (Guthrie) Randall, was born 01 Oct 1841, in Whitney Point, Broome Co., New York and died 13 Feb 1919, in Amboy, Blue Earth Co., Minnesota. Thomas moved to Sterling Township, Minnesota in 1866, where he opened a general merchandise store. He moved with his family to Amboy in 1879, where he opened a new store which he operated until 1914.

He married 20 Jul 1872, Clarinda Pleasant Secrest, daughter of David and Bathsheba Jane (Burns) Secrest. She was born 01 Jul 1855 in Bethesda, Belmont County, Ohio (her obituary says in Illinois), and died 09 Dec 1948 in San Diego, San Diego Co., California.

They lived in Sterling Township and Amboy.

iv. Catherine Jane10 Randall, b. 15 Jul 1888 in Amboy, d. 14 Oct 1970 in San Diego, San Diego Co., California, m. 16 Nov 1918 in Amboy to Earl Leslie Cornell.
