Archives > Census Records
The Whitney Research Group has compiled an extensive amount of content from census records for members of the Whitney families.
All existing U.S. census records that have been released to the public (1790-1930) are now available via subscription from Ancestry.com. Ancestry includes scans of all pages, and all of these records have every-name indexes. Existing U.K. census records 1841-1901 are similarly available. For a quick index of Ancestry census records, see Ancestry Census Record Links.

Census records or their substitutes are available for the following years: Before 1790, 1790 (and 1791), 1800, 1810, 1818, 1820, 1830, 1837, 1840, 1841, 1842, 1845, 1850, 1851, 1855, 1860, 1861, 1865, 1870, 1871, 1880, 1881, 1885, 1890, 1891, 1900, 1901, 1910, 1920, 1930, 1940.
