__________________________________________________________________________________________ Jason Whitney and his wife were in Alabama 1830 appearing on that census, he also served as the Executor of his Father-in-Law's will. he applied for and recieved a 2nd class land grant for 640 acres from the Republic of Texas in 1839. Jason and Adelaide H. (Revere) Whitney had four known children:

  Jason W. Whitney born 1829 died 1867

married Sarah Morton 1853;

Elizabeth  born 1834 Married a Holloway;
Samuel Edmond born 1835 married 

Sarah Bryant Holloway;

  Mary E.   born 1838 died before 1860;
  Jason died before he arrive in Red River
County to claim his grant. He does not appear 

on the 1850 Census.;

   Jason W. Whitney born 1829 died 1867 married
Sarah Morton 1853 they had five known children:
