My GGGrandmother is Emeroy Margaret Whitney 1843-1922). Her father is Seth W(?) Whitney (1812-1875?), m 1Lucinda Tucker and 2Mary
Batchelder.
His father is Samuel Platt Whitney (1775?-1871), m Lois Buttles His father is Thomas Simmons Whitney (1740-1816), m Martha Hart.
I am looking for a connection between Emeroy and Eli Whitney the inventor, if one exists. If reviewing the dates, Eli and Samuel Platt W might be cousins with a common grandfather. (?) Am looking for assistance in finding the link.
