As you can see, I am a Whitney and on and off over the last few years have been searching, father to son, back to John Whitney. I am a retired TV broadcast and production engineer. Also an amateur photographer and model airplane builder and flyer. My grandfather died young and I never saw him but my mom said he was from Herkimer, NY and a glass maker. I wanted to know where our family came from and what it's history was so, seeing I didn't have too much time left myself, I started using the computer and some letter writing to plot the history, like I said, father to son.
I now see I'm connected back to John of Watertown but there are details I'm still searching.
