Whitney ancestors are from the John & Elinor lineage I believe.

His father was William Whitney born 1877(?) or thereabouts in Watkins Glenn, NY. His wife was Maude (Mowry) Whitney. He was a farmer in Mexico, NY. He had one brother named Glenn Whitney. William died in 1961 or 1962.
