MY Whitney ancestors are from the John & Elinor lineage. (Robert E.Jr., Robert E. Sr., William L., Charles L., Lyman E., Eliphalet, Cornelius, Matthias, Cornelius, Joshua, John)

My grandfather Robert Earl Whitney was born (August 17, 1898) and raised in Mexico, NY. He had one sister Doris Whitney, several years younger.

His father, my great grandfather, was William L. Whitney born September 23, 1873. His wife was Maude (Mowry) Whitney. He was a farmer in Mexico, NY. He had one brother named Glenn Whitney. William died in 1961 or 1962 in Dansville, NY.
