Robert Earl Whitney graduated from Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts. He married Adeline Shockey.They lived in Columbus, Ohio where my father (Robert Earl Jr.) was born, eventually settling in Dansville, NY where he began a prosperous appliance and electronics business with a large factory storefront named "Whitney's." Additionally, he owned a residential rental portfolio of homes. He retired to FL in 1967. He passed away in 1988 at age 89.
