- Thursday ye 3rd . . . Some part of ye way, I Travel'd in compy. with my friend Hall, with whom I had an agreable Conference; I also rid part way with Mr. Benjn. Lord; We came to Leffingwells at about 12 oClock, where I made a short stop, & then proceeded on my way to ye Landing, where I did some Errends, & was Invited to a drink of Grog by Mr. Whitney, & came home at about 3 oClock; Toward night I assisted ye Boys alittle at Hoeing &c; & in ye Evening Cordilla came home.

- Administration of John Sawyer of Lancaster, Husbandman. Bond dtd 2 Nov 1731 named Joseph Sawyer, Joseph Wilder, Esq. and Seth Sawyer, Husbandman, all of Lancaster, County of Worcester, witnessed by Isaac Learnd. Inventory dtd 29 Oct 1731 included an homestead on 68 acres and meadow valued at £400. Also listed was a piece of meadow in Stow valued at £80, plus other lands, for a total of £685:12s:0d. Appraisers were John Taylor, Jonathan Whitney and John Whitney (Administration 1:19, Inventory 1:20).
- Administration of Abraham Willard of Lancaster, Husbandman. Bond dtd 2 Nov 1731 named widow Mary as Administratrix. Appraisers named were Daniel Pierce, yeoman, Jonathan Whitney and Israell Taylor, Gentleman, of Harvard. The division of the estate was dated 22 May 1747 and included 186 acres in Harvard valued at £1500. "Oldest son Abraham" [p. 174] received 78 acres on the southerly side of the farm and "youngest son David" received the 108 acres remaining. The deceased's father Henry reserved rights to 1/2 of the orchard. On 26 May 1747, Phinehas Willard and Mary Willard his wife and the late widow of the deceased acquitted their dower rights (Administration 1:21, Division 1:22).
