VII. Egbert Whitney, b. near Rifton Glen, in Esopus, N.Y., 17 July 1847; a carpenter and joiner; married at Newburgh, N.Y., 23 Ap. 1870, by Rev. H. H. Birkins, pastor of the Second Meth. Epis. Church in Newburgh, to Matilda Sammons Traver, dau. of Henry Edward and Frances Brewster (Dunn) Traver, of Eddyville, in Kingston, N.Y., where she was born 6 Sept 1850. They settled in Bedford precinct, Nebraska; and afterward moved to Humboldt, Neb., where they were living in Aug. 1874.

VIII. Adeline Whitney, b. at Esopus, N.Y., 3 May 1849; married at Freedom Plains, in LaGrange, N.Y., 15 Oct 1873, Alison Dutcher, a farmer, who was born at Beekman, N.Y., 6 Aug. 1847, son of Abraham and Gertrude Ann (Van Voorhees) Dutcher. They were living at Beekmanville in Nov. 1873.
