Aaron6 Whitney (Levi5, Daniel4, Jonathan3, Jonathan2, John1), born Townsend, Massachusetts, 1772; married 16 Mar 1797, Phebe Dunklee, born 20 Dec 1778; died 31 Jan 1800; married 2d Olive Lund, born Aug. 1779; died Jan., 1867.
He was a blacksmith by trade, and in 1812 was the postmaster at Amherst. His shop was burned in 1815, and in 1819 he moved to Calias. He was a prominent citizen in Amherst for some time. He died 16 Feb 1845; resided Nashua, New Hampshire, and Amherst, Massachusetts, and Calais, Maine.

i. Levi7 Whitney, born 7 Jul 1798; married Jane Whitney. ii. Luke Whitney, born 2 Jan 1800; married Cynthia Smith King and Mary Thankful Smith. iii. Mark Whitney, born Jan 2, 1800; died 22 Feb 1807, in Amherst, New Hampshire. iv. Aaron Whitney, born 15 Dec 1801; married Rebecca Perkins. v. James Whitney, born 8 Jul 1808; married Julia A. Dorr. vi. Olive Whitney, born 15 May 1805; resided Westbrook, Maine.
