Leonard⁶ Whitney (Joseph⁵, Joseph⁴, Joseph³, Jonathan², John¹), born Pepperell, Massachusetts, 4 Jun 1797; married in Acworth, New Hampshire, 8 Aug 1820, Philanda Blood; born Jan. 8, 1805; died 25 Jul 1888. He was a farmer. He died 26 Jul 1886; resided Acworth and Langdon, New Hampshire.

ii.	Clarinda M. Whitney, born 14 Dec 1824; married at Bellows Falls, Vermont, July 4, 1842, George A. Wallace, born Acworth, New Hampshire, 14 Feb 1819; died 24 Jan 1865; married 2d Willard H. Howard; resided Acworth, New Hampshire, and Brookfield, Vermont Ch.: Tennie C., born 18 Jun 1843, in Acworth, New Hampshire; married in 1887 to R. C. Boutwell, of Wilton, New Hampshire; Nancy E., born 2 Jul 1847; died 1850, Nashua, New Hampshire; George H., born Sept. 18, 1851, Nashua, New Hampshire, Sumner L., born 31 Mar 1855; died 1872.
iii.	Parthena A. Whitney, born 7 Nov 1827; married 1850, Howard G. Colburn; resided Alstead, New Hampshire.
iv.	Caroline G. Whitney, born 20 Feb 1833; married Horace Blake, and died Oct. 17, 1886.
v.	Mariah P. Whitney, born 5 Feb 1822; married in 1848, Josiah Guillow, Gilsum, New Hampshire.
vi.	Geo. L. Whitney, born 14 Sep 1843; married Lucretia E. Miller.
vii.	Horace L. Whitney, born 17 Jul 1845; married Etta Ellis, and died 7 Dec 1884.
viii.	Abbie Jane Whitney, born 27 Jul 1849; married Edwin Fairfield, and died Feb., 1893.
