David Morse6 Whitney (George5, Jason4, Mark3, Benjamin2, John1), born Natick, Massachusetts, 1 Nov 1807; married 3 Apr 1828, Mary Ann Gilmore, of Wrentham, born Oct. 3, 1805; died 7 Dec 1843; married 2d, 28 Jan 1844, Mrs. Nancy (Whitney) Wheeler, born Nov. 26, 1810; dau. of Jason, Jr.
He was born and always resided in Natick, Massachusetts; was a well known citizen. For several years he was assessor of taxes. He was the best musician and most noted singing master in that section. In 1836 he began the manufacture of shoes, in which business he was engaged for many years. He died 2 Dec 1867; resided Natick, Massachusetts.

i. Esther Louisa7 Whitney, born 8 Mar 1829; married 23 Nov 1847, Theodore Parker; resided 115 So. Division St., Grand Rapids, Michigan. She died Mar., 1894; buried at Fort Wayne. He was born 11 Jan 1825; died Feb. 18, 1888. He was a locomotive engineer. - Ch.: Lizzie Blanche, born 22 Oct 1849; Edmund Jonas, born May, 1850; died 6 Jun 1850; David Whitney, born Feb., 1853; died 5 Jun 1855.
ii. Geo. Henry Whitney, born 18 Sep 1830; married Mary Jane Hubbard. iii. Samuel B. Homer Whitney, born 11 Oct 1832; married Mrs. Hiram Thurston. iv. Charlotte Travis Whitney, born 21 Mar 1836; married 23 Jan 1854, Geo. H. Andrews, 78 Douglass Ave., Fort Wayne, Indiana. v. Harlan H. Whitney, born 7 Mar 1838; married Marian S. Stowell. vi. Harriett Wilson Whitney, born 9 Jul 1841; died 3 Jul 1842. vii. Frank H. Whitney, born 28 Jul 1845; married Adelaide Green.
