Seventh Generation.
farmer, born at Williamstown, Mass., 7 Nov. 1812, son of Daniel and Fanny (Perkins) Giles. They were living at Waterloo in 1874.
2308 X. Polly Barnum, b. in Pompey, N. Y., 5; Nov. 1811; married, 10 Sept. 1833, at Pompey, by Rev. Daniel Smith, Presbyterian, of Manlius, N. Y., to Linus Squire, a farmer, born at Apulia, in Fabius, 11 Feb. 1811, son of Jonathan and Joanna (Holmes) Squire. They settled in Apulia; and, in 1850, moved to Waterloo, Wis., where he died, 1 Nov. 1868, and was buried in the "white school-house cemetery." She was still living there in 1874. 6946
2309 XI. Emily Barnum, b. in Pompey, N. Y., 11 Feb. 1813; married, 18 July 1837, at Fayetteville, in Manlius, N. Y., Alanson Barnum, a hatter, born in Conn., 6 Aug. 1804, son of Levi and Mary Barnum. They dwelt at Jamesville, in DeWitt, N. Y., a little more than two years; in Lodi, N. Y., three years; in Syracuse, N. Y., about two years; went to Michigan, 12 Aug. 1845, and settled in Groveland, where he died 22 May 1849, and was buried at Goodrich, in Atlas, Mich. While in Michigan, he worked as a carpenter, taught vocal music, was justice of the peace four years, and an acceptable member of the Methodist Church. He was a kind-hearted, benevolent man, beloved by all who knew him. She was married (2d), 3 July 1850, at Groveland, by William H. Putnam, Esq., to Isaac Titsworth, a farmer, who died in Groveland, 21 Nov. 1859. She was married (3d), 22 Jan. 1865, in Atlas, by Rev. J. Mills Ashley, Congregational, to Lyman Parker, a farmer, who was born at Cherry Valley, N. Y., 16 Ap. 1796, son of Jotham and Lowly (Barker) Parker. He settled at Oakwood, Mich., in 1837; and they still lived there in Jan. 1875. 6956

2311 XIII. Charles Morris Barnum, b. in Pompey, N. Y., 24 Aug. 1819; married, 4 Feb. 1839, in Mich., Lola Ann Thomas; and died in Mich., 9 Aug. 1847. 6965

2312 I. Nancy Wright, b. in Manlius, N. Y., 28 Ap. 1805; married, 2 Feb. 1831, at Ellisburgh, N. Y., Sylvester Finney, who was born in Henderson, N. Y., son of Zenas Finney, and g. son of Sylvester and Rebecca (Rice) Finney. She died, 2 Oct. 1831, in Canada West.
