4606 I. Mary Appleby, b. at St. John, N. B., 17 June 1799; married at Kingston, N. B., 19 March 1819, Samuel Peers, a farmer, son of Henry and Susan (Trenholm) Peers, of Westmoreland Co., N. B., where he was born 28 June 1797. They settled in Kingston; where she died in Ap. 1836, and was buried. He married (2d), 26 Aug. 1838, at Kingston, Lydia Ann Chaloner, dau. of Ninian and Mary (Scribner) Chaloner. He died at Kingston, 19 Dec. 1863, and was buried there. 11912
4607 II. William James Appleby, b. at St. John, N. B,, in June 1803; died at Kingston, N. B., and was buried there.
4608 III. Charles Simcoe Appleby, b. at St. John, N. B., in 1805; married at Sheffield, N. B., 12 May 1829, Letitia Burpee, dau. of Joseph and Abigail (Gallishan) Burpee, of Sheffield, where she was born 6 Sept. 1806.1 He was living at Florenceville, N. B., in March 1874. He died at his residence, 2 Ap. 1876. 11918
4609 IV. John Tompkins Appleby, b. at St. John, N. B., 9 June 1807; a shoemaker and farmer; married at Kingston, N. B., 31 Aug. 1834, Esther Chaloner, dau. of Ninian and Mary (Scribner) Chaloner, of Kingston. She was born at Springfield, N. B. 31 March 1810. They settled at Kingston, and were living there in March 1874. He was then constable, collector of taxes, and town-clerk; having filled the first two offices forty-two years, and the last twenty-five years. He died at Kingston, 19 March 1876, and was buried there, 22 March 1876, in the Protestant Episcopal Cemetery. 11919
