David Inglis, Presbyterian, to Mary Elizabeth Scribner, born at New York City, 10 March 1830, dau. of James William and Mary (Ford) Scribner. He lived at New Canaan, Conn., in Feb. 1869.

II. Alexander Whitney, b. at New York City, 2 Nov. 1828; lived at Salisbury, Penn., in 1841; and a few months later, went to Philadelphia, since which his brother, John Ebenezer Whitney, had, up to Feb. 1869, no certain knowledge of his residence.

III. Margaret Elizabeth Whitney, b. at New York, corner of Nassau and Ann Streets, 13 Sept. 1830; married by Rev. Spencer Houghton Cone, pastor of the First Baptist Church in New York, 6 Sept. 1851, to Robert Hinvest, a mason, born in St. Mary's parish, Southampton, England, 6 July 1823, son of Joseph Hinvest They settled in New York City; and in 1868, lived at the corner of Third Avenue and Sixty-ninth Street. She died 19 Aug. 1872.
