Eighth Generation.
Company, vice-president of the Bank of California, and park-commissioner of San Francisco; and had been mayor of the city in 1871, 1872, and 1873. He has also been president of the San Francisco Art Association. A highly laudatory notice of him appeared in the the New York Chimney Corner, of 18 Oct. 1873.
10484 IV. Emma Whitney Alvord, b. at Albany, N.Y., 31 Jan 1835; died at Defreestville, N.Y., 23 Jul 1836, and was buried at Albany.
10485 V. Henry Benjamin Alvord, b. at Albany, N.Y., 4 Sept. 1837; a hardware-merchant; was living at San Jose, Cal., in June 1877.

10487 II. James Frederick Green, b. in Vandewater Street, New York, 11 Jan. 1835; a hardward-merchant; married at Northumberland, N.H., 8 Nov. 1860, by Rev. Moses Sherman, to Abby Martha Merriam, born at Northumberland, 19 Ap. 1837, dau. of Benjamin and Abby (Blake) Merriam. They were living at Haverstraw, N.Y., in Feb. 1874. He died at East Haddam, Conn., 1 May 1876, and was buried there. She was living at 543 Henry Street, Brooklyn, N.Y., in June 1877. 17669
10488 III. Sidney Harper Green, b. in Fifth Street, Richmond, Ind., 26 July 1843; married in the Methodist Church at Haverstraw, N.Y., 11 Nov. 1875, by Rev. Charles Larew, Methodist Episcopal, assisted by Rev. Amasa Freeman, Presbyterian, to Annie Hutton Anners, of Haverstraw, born in Jersey City, N.J., 6 Jan. 1853, dau. of Samuel and Jane (Hutton) Anners. They were living at 543 Henry Street, Brooklyn, N.Y., in June 1877. 17671

10490 V. Henry Ward Beecher Green, b. in Adams Street, Brooklyn, N.Y., 22 July 1849; died at 22 Lamartine Place, New York, 5 Sept. 1849, and was buried in Greenwood Cemetery.
