private cemetery. She married (2d), 9 Aug. 1859, in New York City, John Harvey Many, a carpenter, who was born in Newburgh, N. Y., 14 Dec. 1832, son of Thorn and Lydia (Griffith) Many. They were living at 259 West 43d Street, New York, in Nov. 1873, without children.
2896 VI. Alexander Cogburn Whitney, b. in Catskill, N. Y., 11 Sept 1827; a carpenter; married Sarah Smith, dau. of Rowland and Margaret (Trumpbour) Smith. They were living at Trumpbour's Four Corners, in Saugerties, N. Y., in Nov. 1873. 8190
2897 VII. Eleanor Catharine Whitney, b. in Weedsport, N. Y., 12 Sept 1829; married in New York City, 17 Feb. 1849, Peter Philo Myer, a farmer and quarry-man, who was born in Saugerties, N. Y., 7 July 1825, son of Harmon and Mary (Mauterstock) Myer.1 They have lived in Saugerties, New York City, and Deerpark, N. Y., in the last of which they were dwelling in Dec. 1873, near Gumaer Station. 8197

2900 I. Patience Schoonmaker, b. 13 June 1833; died 20 June 1836, and was buried in the Saugerties Cemetery, N. Y.
2901 II. Mary Eliza Schoonmaker, married John Jay Underhill, who died 6 May 1859, aged 32 years and 6 months, and was buried in Saugerties Cemetery, N. Y. She was living at 25 Shetucket Street, Norwich, Conn., in March 1875.
2902 III. James Whitney Schoonmaker, b. 31 Jan. 1837; died 10 Jan. 1846, and was buried in the Saugerties Cemetery, N. Y.
