2421 VIII. William Rockwell, b. at Ridgefield, Conn., about 1804; a blacksmith; died unmarried, 29 Sept 1827, aged 23 years, at New Rochelle, N. Y.
2422 IX. Henry Rockwell, b. at Ridgefield, Conn.; a shoemaker; married Phebe -----; and was said, in Dec. 1876, to be living at North Salem, N. Y., with four sons.

2424 I. Rachel Smith, b. at North Salem, N. Y., 16 March 1801; married there, 20 Sept. 1820, Charles Smith Hyatt, a farmer, son of Abijah1 and Clarissa (Hayes) Hyatt, of Ridgefield, Conn., where he was born 9 June 1798. They dwelt, for seven years, in Ridgefield; for thirty years, in Fenner, N. Y. and, for five years, in Cazenovia, N. Y., where he died 6 Aug. 1867. He was buried in the Wilson Cemetery, at Fenner. She was living at Fenner in July 1875. 7226
2425 II. Caroline Smith, b. at North Salem, N. Y., 29 Dec. 1802; married, 17 Feb. 1834, at Nelson, N. Y., Orville Raymond, a farmer, son of Joel and Lydia (Hewett) Raymond, of Wheeler, N. Y., formerly of Florida, N. Y., where he was born 17 Oct 1802. They settled in Wheeler, and were living there in January 1875. 7232
2426 III. Walter Keeler Smith, b. at North Salem, N. Y., 29 Sept. 1808; a farmer and Country merchant; married, 7 Nov. 1833, at Nelson Flats, N. Y., Emily Stebbins, dau. of James and Lydia (Tyler) Stebbins, of Hadley, Mass., Peterborough, N. Y., and Smithfield, N. Y. She was born at Peterborough, 11 May 1810; died at Cazenovia, N. Y., on the west side of the lake, 7 Dec. 1862; and was buried at Cazenovia. He married (2d) 22 Ap. 1868, at Fenner, N. Y., Polly Ann Hyatt, dau. of Abijah and Clarissa (Hayes) Hyatt,1 of Nelson Flats, deceased, and widow of Silas 7237
1 Abijah Hyatt and wife died in Nelson, N. Y., whither they moved in 1835.
