2454 I. Mary Ann Smith, b. in Ridgefield, Conn., in Jan. 1811; married, 31 Oct. 1832, at Ridgefield, Samuel S. Olmstead. They were living in New Canaan, Conn., in Aug. 1874. 7291
2455 II. Henry Smith, b. in Ridgefield, Conn., 24 Feb. 1813; a merchant and farmer; married, 11 Nov. 1839, at Lyons, N. Y., by Rev. Samuel Cook, D. D., rector of St Bartholomew's Church in New York, to Mary Ann Burt, who was born in Ridgefield, 9 March 1811, dau. of Joshua and Phebe (Richards) Burt. They settled in Ridgefield, where he died 11 Sept 1847, and was hurled in Titicus Cemetery. She was living at Ridgefield in Nov. 1874. 7292
2456 III. Charles Smith, b. in Ridgefield, Conn., 31 Dec. 1816; a farmer; married there, 2 June 1844, in the Protestant Episcopal Church, by its rector, Rev. Warren Hoyt, to Elizabeth Northrop, who was born at Ridgefield, 10 Nov. 1819, dau. of Philip and Hepsy (Mead) Northrop. The settled in Titicus district, Ridgefield, and were living there in Nov. 1874. He has represented his town in the Connecticut Legislature, without detriment to his reputation as an honest man. 7296

James Butler Smith, b. in Ridgefield, Conn., 11 Dec. 1816; a merchant; married, 7 Aug. 1836, at Norwalk, Conn., Eliza Sanford, who was born at Reading, Conn.,; Feb. 1817, dau. of Alanson and Sally (Gorham) Sanford. She died at Ridgefield, 27 Aug. 1854, and was buried there, in Titicus Cemetery. He married (2d) 26 Sept. 1863, at St. Thomas' Church, corner of Broadway and Houston Street, New York City, Augusta Rosa Racey, who was born in New York, is Dec. 1837, dau. of Joseph Henry and Rose Ann (Pierce) Racey. They were living at 208 East 57th Street, New York, in Ap. 1875. 7299
2458 II. Harvey Whitney Smith, b. in Ridgefield, Conn., 5 Feb. 1821; a silk-merchant; married at Ridgefield, 6 Oct. 1842, Elizabeth Albina Foote, dau. of Eli and Mary (Edmond) Foote, of Ridgefield. They dwelt at Greenfield Hill, Conn., for three years; moved to New York City, where he was a wholesale dealer in silk and milliners' goods, till 1849; then removed to St. Louis, Mo., continuing in the same trade till 1861, when ill health compelled him to seek a warm climate. They chose the island of Barbadoes, W. I., where they lived till May 1862; and then returned to New York. He died, without children, 12 Nov. 3862, in Fourth Street,
