Edit My Whitney Line

Ginny was born in Dutchess County, NY in the 1940's and still resides there/here. Her Ancestors came from Philipstown, Putnam Co., NY which was formed from Dutchess Co., NY in 1812.

Ginny has been going genealogical research for approximately 12 years and is well known in Dutchess County for her local sense and being able to locate difficult to find sources in Dutchess. She has also received local and national awards for her historical preservation work (i.e. from the Dutchess County Historical Society and the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.

I am interested in the Whitney lines with connections to Dutchess and Putnam County since at this point it appears that there were members of the Whitney family that married into various branches of my and my children's paternal lines in Dutchess and Putnam Counties NY.
