2891 I. Valentine Trumpbour Whitney, b. in Catskill, N. Y., 22 Dec. 1814; a farmer; married Sarah Catharine Schoonmaker, dau. of David and Jennie (Van Louven) Schoonmaker. They settled in the town of Saugerties, N. Y., and were living there in Nov. 1873. 8168
2892 II. Peter Freer Whitney, b. in Catskill, N. Y., 13 Feb. 1817; an ice-dealer; married Margaret Freer, dau. of Peter and Catharine (Trumpbour) Freer. They lived in Catskill in Nov. 1873. 8171
2893 III. James Whitney, b. in Saugerties, N. Y., 1 Oct 1818; a farmer; married there, 20 June 1840, Christina Schoonmaker, dau. of George and Jane (Van Louven) Schoonmaker, of Catskill, N. Y., where she was born 29 Sept. 1817. He was toll-collector at the Jersey City ferry from 1851 to 1874, and lived in Jersey City, N. J. They were dwelling at Catskill in Ap. 1875. 8182
2894 IV. Jeremiah Eligh Whitney, b. in Catskill, N. Y., 19 Jan. 1821; a gardener; married at West Camp, N. Y., 3 1 Dec. 1858, Isabella Cuscading Lester, who was born at West Camp, dau. of Jacob and Mary (Adams) Lester. They were living at Saugerties, N. Y., in Nov. 1873.
2895 V. Christina Whitney, b. at Asbury Corners, in Saugerties, N. Y., 12 Sept 1823; married at West Camp, in Saugerties, 4 Feb. 1839, Michael Saxe Lasher, who was born in Saugerties, Feb. 1821, son of John and Margaret (Dillon) Lasher. They settled on the Saxe farm, two miles north-west of Trumpboursville, in Saugerties, where he died, without children, in Feb. 1842, and was buried on the farm where he died, in a 8187
