I found 2 interesting newspaper articles which may relate to this family.From the Norwich Packet dated March 21,1774:Preston,Whereas Sarah my Wife has for serveral months past,been endeavouring to injure me in my interest and to run me in debt &c.Thee are therfore to forbid all persons trusting said Sarah,for I will not pay ant debt of her contracting.Asa Whitney
The second article comes from the New York Journal dated Nov 17,1774:New York,Tuesday afternoon,a poor woman formerly of this city,and of a reputable family,but late the wife of one Whitney of Connecticut,from whense she had just arrived,in her way to Carolina,where we hear her husband now resides,was seized with a fit and fell down in the street,before the door of Mr.Wallace's house,where she was taken in,she recovered but was soon seized with another fit in which she expired.
