                           and D. Williams Patterson, of Newark Valley, N. Y.

ALEXANDER PATTERSON, of Haddam, Conn., married there, 21 Feb. 1733-4, Deborah -----.  The town-record does
 not give her full name; but says that she was twenty-eight years old on the 25th of December before his marriage, making
 his birth, on Christmas, 1705. The date of his death does not appear. Thomas Brooks was appointed administrator of
 his estate, 1 July 1746; and his widow, Deborah Patterson, married in 1747, at Middle Haddam, Conn., William Mark-
 ham, and bore him a daughter, Esther Markham, who was baptized in Middle Haddam, 1 Nov. 1747.
