3925 I. Rebecca Scofield, b. at Stamford, Conn., 28 Oct 1799; married at New York City, 12 Feb. 1820, Belding Hoyt, a farmer, son of Samuel and Hannah (Belding) Hoyt, of Stamford, where he was horn 27 Aug. 1788, and baptized 10 Nov. 1788. He dwelt in Closter, N. J., from 1810 till 1814; and then settled at Yonkers, N. Y., where he died about June 1874. She was living at Yonkers in 1874. 10420
3926 II. Levisa Scofield, b. at Stamford, Conn., 28 March 1801; married Philo Albert Porter, a carpenter ; and settled at the corner of Spring and Elm Streets, New York City, where she died 8 Ap. 1825. She had a son and a daughter, each of whom died on the day of birth, without name.
3927 III. Harvey Scofield, b. at Stamford, Conn., 9 June 1802; a dealer in wood and coal; married at Stamford, 7 Ap. 1822, by Rev. P. Van Wyck, to Caroline A. Cogswell, dau. of Aaron and Amelia (Tredwell) Cogswell,1 of Stamford, where she was born 20 Nov. 1803. They settled at West Farms, N. Y., where he died 14 Ap. 1860. She moved to Mott Haven, N. Y., in 1862, and was living there in Aug. 1877. 10427
3928 IV. Henry Scofield, b. at Stamford, Conn., 23 Feb. 1804; a miller; married at Cold Spring, Huntington, L. I., 4 Oct 1832, by Rev. Mr. Halliday, to Eliza Titus, dau. of Zebulon and Mary (Douglass) Titus, of Cold Spring, where she was born 14 July 1811. They settled at Cold Spring, and there died--he, 3 June 1853; she, 23 Dec. 1870. 10435
3929 V. Lewis Scofield, b. at Stamford, Conn., 28 Feb. 1806; a farmer; married at Bedford, N. Y. 16 Oct 1830, Sarah Ann Palmer, dau. of Squires and Elizabeth (Thompson) Palmer, of Stamford, where she was born 5 May 1813. They settled in Stamford, where he died in Oct. 1855, and was buried. She was living at Stamford in 1873. She had five sons in the war of 1861, all of whom returned without a wound. 10439
3930 VI. Maria Scofield, b. at Stamford, Conn., 24 Feb. 1808; married in New York City, 20 March 1831, by Rev. Mr. Stillwell, Methodist, pastor of a church in Forsyth Street, to Frederick Fowler, a carman, son of Frederick and Margaret (Merrill) Fowler, of New York, where he was born 18 March 1804, on the north side of Reade Street, the third house west of Broadway. They settled in New York, and were living there in Jan. 1875, at 489 Second Avenue. He is said to have served, for about six months, in Capt Black's Co., 11th Reg., N. Y. S. Militia, in the war of 1812--perhaps as drummer-boy. 10448
  1 Huntington's Stamford Registration, p. 24, shows that Aaron Cogshall married at New Canaan, Conn., 8 May 1803, Pamelia Treadwell, and gives their dau. Caroline no middle name.
