Seventh Generation.
1855, moved to Bloomfield, N. B., where they were living in Feb. 1874, without children.
4574 V. George Smith Adams, b. at St. John, N. B., 13 Ap. 1810; a ship-carpenter; followed the sea from 1827 till 1837; dwelt with his mother till 1848; and then settled at Golden Grove, St. John, where he was living in Ap. 1874. He was married at St. John, 27 Ap. 1852, by Rev. James Disbrow, Episcopal, to Eliza Shaw, eldest dau. of the late William Shaw, of Simonds, N. B. 11819
4575 VI. Sarah Adams, b. at St. John, N. B., 16 Jan. 1812; married there, 24 Ap. 1834, Capt. Edward Henry Horatio Huggins, whose parents, natives of England, were planters on the Island of Nevis, West Indies. She died about 1847, in the 36th year of her age, in the house of her sister, Mrs. Jane (Adams) Leavitt, on Peters Street, St. John; and was buried in the old Episcopal Cemetery, on the Loch Lomond road, just outside of the city limits. He died about 1853, in London, Eng., and was buried there.
4576 VII. Emily Sophia Adams, b. at St. John, N. B., 9 Oct. 1813; married there, 8 Sept. 1849, Michael McCarty. They were living at 13 Coburg Street, St. John, in March 1874, without children. 11825
4577 VIII. William Henry Adams, b. at St. John, N. B., 7 Aug. 1815; a merchant; married there, 14 June 1846, Julia Anne Smith. They settled in St John, where he. died 14 Dec. 1864. The St. John newspapers noticed him, as "one of our oldest merchants and most respected citizens, whose amiable disposition, kindly manners, and strict integrity in the various walks of life, endeared him to all who had the pleasure of his acquaintance." His widow was living in Coburg Street, St. John, in March 1874. They had eight children.
4578 IX. John Augustus Adams, b. at St. John, N. B., 7 May 1819; a commission and manufacturers' agent; married at Fredericton, N. B.. 29 Aug. 1862, Cecilia Rainsferd, dau. of Capt. Andrew William and Mary Ann (Clarke) Rainsford, of York Co., N. B., formerly of Montreal, Canada. She was born at Laprairie, C. E. They dwelt in St. John till Sept. 1867; and then settled in Montreal, where they were living in Feb. 1874. His place of business was then at 6 Lemoine Street, where he dealt in ironware. He dwelt in Sidney, Australia, from Jan. 1853 till May 1854. 11827

4579 I. William Henry Whitney, b. at St. John, N. B., 3 Nov. 1819; died there, 6 July 1829, and was buried in the City Cemetery.
