Unfortunately, I must disagree with the lineage you suggest. Alice, wife of Nathaniel Woods, could not have been a daughter of Joshua2 Whitney. For a full discussion of the matter see Archive:Joshua Whitney's Wives and Children. Basically, the terms of Joshua's will are such that he could not be Alice's father. The only two sources that suggest this are old, and not independent. Apparently one person made a (wrong) guess, and this has been perpetuated for about 150 years.
I have no alternative theory as to who Alice might have been, sadly. At present her surname and parentage must be listed as unknown.
