7037 II. Aramantha Whitney, b. at Beverly, C. W., 27 Sept. 1835; married at Adams, N. Y., 18 July 1855, James Zufelt, a farmer, born in Canada, 28 June 1836, son of Samuel and Margaret (Swartfeger) Zufelt. They dwelt at Ellisburgh, N. Y., till 1862; and then settled at Oneida, Mich., where be enlisted, 25 Dec. 1863, in Co. G, 27th Reg., Mich. Vol. Infantry. He took part in the siege of Vicksburgh, the battles of Knoxville, the Wilderness, Petersburgh, and Richmond; and was mustered out 7 Aug. 1865. She died, 28 Dec. 1872, at East Saginaw, Mich.; and was buried in Grand Ledge Cemetery, at Oneida. He returned to Ellisburgh, and was living there in 1874. 14680
7038 III. Edwin Ruthven Whitney, b. at Ellisburgh, N. Y., 20 Ap. 1838; a farmer; married at Oneida, Mich., 14 Aug. 1862, by Rev. A. O. Jenney, Baptist, to Nancy Hortensia Mann, dau. of Elias and Electa (Beebe) Mann, of Amherst, Ohio, where she was born 6 May 1841. They settled at Oneida, and were living there in 1874. He enlisted at Oneida, 25 Nov. 1862, as a corporal, in Co. G, 27th Reg., Mich. Vol. Infantry; served till 28 Ap. 1864, when, being unfit for duty in the field, he was transferred to Co. K, 22d Reg., Vet. Reserve Corps, at Washington, D.C.; and was discharged at Cincinnati, Ohio, 9 Aug. 1865. 14683
7039 IV. Henrietta Whitney, b. at Ellisburgh, N. Y., 24 March 1840; married at Grand Ledge, Mich., 14 Dec. 1862, by Nathan Mount, to John Benson, who served as a major in the war of 1861. She served as an army hospital nurse, sickened, returned to her mother's at Grand Ledge, died there 31 Aug. 1864, and was buried at Portland, Mich. He was living at Portland in 1874.
7040 V. William Richard Whitney, b. at Henderson, N. Y., 4 Nov. 1843; a carpenter; married at Lansing, Mich., 21 Aug. 1870, by A. J. Davis, to Martha Josephine Hines, dau. of James Reynolds and Harriet Clark (Weidman) Hines, of Delta, Mich., formerly of Clarkson, N. Y., where she was born 30 Oct. 1852. They settled at Grand Ledge, Mich., and were living there in 1874. He was a soldier in the war of 1861. 14684

Mary Lavinia Whitney, b. at Delta, Mich., 5 Ap. 1849; married at Delhi, Mich., 17 Sept. 1866, William Henry Furguson, a harness-maker, whose parents, William and Sarah (Meek) Furguson, natives of Ireland, settled at Port Stanley, Canada, where he was born 10 May 1840. He died 23 June 1873, at Grand Ledge, Mich., and was buried there. She was living at Grand Ledge in 1874. 14685
