Decker, Baptist, to Albert Ransom Benedict, a farmer, son of Ransom and Clarinda Caroline (Willis) Benedict,1 of Sangerfield, N.Y., where he was born 28 Jan. 1844. They were living near Waterville post-office, in Sangerfield, in 1874.

II. Myron Jerome Whitney, b. in Henderson, N.Y., 27 Jan. 1843; a farmer; married in her father's house at Henderson, 28 Jan. 1872, by Rev. S. J. Decker, Baptist, to Florence White, who was born in Henderson, 28 Dec. 1852, dau. of Edward and Sarah (Warner) White. They were living in Henderson, with his parents, in 1874. He enlisted in Ap. 1861, at Belleville, in Ellisburgh, N.Y., in Co. K, 24th Reg., N.Y.S. Vol. Infantry; took part in both battles of Fredericksburgh, and the battles of South Mountain and Antietam; and was discharged at Elmira, N.Y., in June 1863.
