Jacob Gardner, to Mary Etta Davis, dau. of Zenas Dixon and Azubah (Wilson) Davis, of LeRoy, Mich. They were living near Battle Creek, Mich., in 1875.
7344 IX. Hannah Elvira Pier, b. at Fairfield, Mich., eight miles south of Adrain, 10 Oct. 1845; married at Ross, Mich., 31 Dec 1865, by Elder Smalley, to Charles Cook, son of William Mulford and Luna (Lawrence) Cook, of Barry, Mich. They were living near Battle Creek, Mich., in Feb. 1875. 14888
7345 X. Albert Amos Pier, b. at LeRoy, Mich., 16 March 1848; died at Barry, Mich., 28 Jan. 1874, unmarried, and was buried at Central LeRoy, Mich.

7350 I. Matthew Bailey, b. at Vernon, now Glenwood, N.J., 13 Feb. 1817; a farmer; married at her father's house in Edenville, N.Y., 25 Nov. 1840, by Rev. William Timlow, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Amity, N.Y., to Sarah Maria Ferrier, dau. of Joseph and Hannah J. (Edsall) Ferrier, of Edenville, where she was born 13 Aug. 1818. "He inherited his father's lands, by will, and occupied the homestead. He added considerably to his inheritance, and lived the quiet and uneventful life of a country farmer with a comfortable independence, respected and loved by his neighbors. He was one of the first trustees, and a constituent member of the Glenwood Baptist Church, and his house was a great gathering-place for Baptist ministers." He died 20 Ap. 1860, and was buried by the side of his father. His wife was living on the homestead, with her son, in Jan. 1876. 14890
