I. Orpha Williams Halliday, b. at Enfield, N.Y., 3 Ap. 1822; married at Thurston, N.Y., 6 Feb. 1840, John Stull DePue, a farmer, son of James and Jane (DeWitt) DePue, of Thurston. He was born at Benton, one mile east of Penn Yan, N.Y., 7 Dec 1815; and was living at Bath, N.Y., in March 1875, having served the public as supervisor, postmaster, and justice of the peace. She died at Thurston, 28 Sept. 1859, and was buried in Unionville Cemetery, Bath. An obituary in the Northern Christian Advocate shows that she was a faithful and consistent member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, an affectionate and devoted wife and mother, and an accomplished and hospitable woman, who lived righteously and died as she had lived.

William Halliday, b. at Enfield, N.Y., 31 Oct. 1823; a teacher, and student of theology; married in Jan. 1844, at Thurston, N.Y., Hannah Maria Chase, dau. of Hirah and Lucy (Winship) Chase, of Cameron, N.Y. She was born at Bluff Point, in Jerusalem, N.Y., 17 June 1820. They settled at Mechlenburgh, in Hector, N.Y. He died there, without children, 9 March 1846, and was buried in Bonney Hill Cemetery, at Thurston. She married (2d), Elder James Parker; died 7 Sept. 1871; and was buried at Milo, N.Y.

III. Belden Whitney Halliday, b. at Enfield, N.Y., 19 Aug. 1825; a farmer; married at Bath, N.Y., 10 Dec. 1848, by Rev. Salmon Judd, Methodist Episcopal, to Annis Vernelia Gilbert, dau. of Warner and Eliza (True) Gilbert, of Bath, where she was born 6 Ap. 1824. They dwelt at Bath for eight years; and then moved to Roscoe, Minn., where she died 13 Feb. 1859, and was buried in Pine Island Cemetery. He was married (2d), 1 Jan. 1861, and Minneola, Minn., by Rev. E. M. Cressey, Baptist, to Mary Maria Bonney, of Minneola, dau. of Benjamin and Rhoda (Alderman) Bonney, of Georgetown, N.Y., where she was born 16 May 1825. They were living at Roscoe in May 1875.
