10224 I. Eliza Ann Whitney, b. at Cornwall, Canada West, 4 Sept. 1843; married at Lansing, Mich., 4 Oct. 1869, by Rev. Henry Barnwell, rector of St. Paul's (Episcopal) Church, to Lemuel Cornelius Fryant, a machinist, who was born at Waterville, Ohio, 15 Jan. 1846, son of Charles and Sarah Catharine (Smith) Fryant. He enlisted at Jackson, Mich., 4 Jan. 1864, in Co. E, 3d Reg., Mich. Cavalry; and was discharged at San Antonio, Texas, 12 Feb. 1866, having served chiefly in Arkansas, Texas, and the west. They were living at Streator, Ill., in 1874. 17545
10225 II. Clarissa Matilda Whitney, b. at Ogdensburgh, N. Y., 10 Jan. 1846; married at Lansing, Mich., 12 Nov. 1867, by Rev. L. B. Potter, Baptist, to Adam Henry Clippenger, a baker, who was born at Lima, Ohio, 30 Ap. 1847, son of Humphrey and Sarah Ann (DeJacques) Clippenger. He enlisted at Lima, 28 March 1862, in Co. H, 32d Reg., Ohio Vol. Inf.; and was discharged 29 Aug. 1865, having taken a part in Gen. Sherman's march to the sea. They were living at Albion, Mich., in Sept. 1874. 17547
10226 III. George Newton Whitney, b. at Ogdensburgh, N. Y., 16 Oct. 1848; died 28 June 1849, and was buried at Ogdensburgh.
10227 IV. Sarah Jane Whitney, b. at Ogdensburgh, N. Y., 31 March 1850; married at Albion, Mich., 18 Ap. 1871, by Rev. A. W. Ensign, Baptist, to George Howard, a dealer in cattle, who was born at Albion, 1 Jan. 1850, son of James and Martha (Greenfield) Howard. They were living at Albion in Sept. 1874. 17548
