burgh, N. Y., 17 May 1849; an insurance broker; married, 4 Oct. 1870, at Christ Church, in Ridgewood. N. J., by the rector, Rev. Legh R. Dickinson, assisted by Rev. Alfred H. Partridge, rector of Christ Church in Brooklyn, N. Y., to Frances Hunter Brinsmaid, born at Burlington, Vt., 21 Jan. 1849, dau. of Sedgwick Swift and Henrietta Adams (Kidder) Brinsmaid, who lived at Middletown, N. Y., at the time of her marriage. They settled at Ridgewood, and were living there, on Prospect Street, in J tine 1877. He was special agent of the Imperial Fire Insurance Company, of London, in their branch office at New York, till Dec. 1875; since which lie has opened an insurance office at 254 Eighth Avenue, N. Y.
2155 VI. Frederick John Walton, b. at 145 South 8th Street, Williamsburgh, N. Y., 7 May 1853; cashier of the National Fire Insurance Company, of New York; was living with his parents, at Ridgewood, N. J., in June 1877.

2156 I. Sarah W. Olmstead, b. 2 Nov. 1813; married, 2 Ap. 1851, John Benedict,1 son of Ezra and Maria (Dreamer) Benedict, of Ridgefield, Conn., where he was born 16 Aug. 1821. They settled at Ridgefield, where she died 18 March 1862. His first wife was her younger sister, Harriet Olmstead. 6686

2158 III. Thaddeus Rockwell Olmstead, died 30 Sept. 1837, at Ridgefield, Conn.
2159 IV. Harriet Olmstead, b. 9 July 1818; married, 2 July 1845, John Benedict,1 whose second wife was her elder sister; died 28 March 1850, at Ridgefield, Conn., and was buried in Titicus Cemetery. He married (3d), 1 Sept. 1862, Caroline Seelye, dau. of Thomas and Betsey Seelye; and was living at Ridgefield in 1870. 2156
