Ridgefield, where she was born, 22 Sept. 1833. They settled in Ridgefield, and she died there, 4 Feb. 1870. He died in Norwalk, Conn., 30 Nov. 1872. They had no children.
2168 IV. Margaret Olmstead, b. in Ridgefield, Conn., 30 Aug. 1829; married, 24 Ap. 1854, at Ridgefield, John David Hurlbutt. They settled in Ridgefield; and he died there, from the bite of a lion, 11 Feb. 1866. She was living at Ridgefield, in Nov. 1874. 6705

2170 I. Mary Whitney Olmstead, b. in Ridgefield, Conn., 2 March 1829; died in Ridgefield, 12 Dec. 1829, and was buried in Titicus Cemetery.
2171 II. John Henry Olmstead, b. in Ridgefield, Conn., 28 Jan. 1831; a shoemaker; married, 26 Oct. 1859, at Huntington, Conn., by Rev. Mr. Brainerd, Episcopal, to Maria Whitlock, born in Ridgefield, 24 July 1835, dau. of Joseph and Polly (Smith) Whitlock. They settled in Ridgefield, where she died 19 Ap. 1865, and was buried in Titicus Cemetery. He was living with his parents, at Ridgefield, in Ap. 1875. 6708

2175 I. Richard Whitney Olmstead, b. at Sandtown, N. J., 23 Dec. 1822; a clerk; married, 28 Aug. 1851, at Scranton, Penn., by Rev. J. D. Mitchell, Presbyterian, to Sarah Sophia Shnyder, dau. of Joseph and Susanna (Simons) Shnyder, of Scranton. She was born near Easton, Penn., 15 Feb. 1826. They were living at Scranton, in Ap. 1875.
