V. William Nafew, kept an eating-house near Taylor's Hotel, Jersey City, N. J., in Feb. 1874, "in the first block from the ferry, on the south side of Montgomery Street." His wife died some years ago, and he was boarding with his son, Sylvester Nafew.

I. Harriet Rachel Wilson, b. at Troy, N. Y., 28 June 1807; married, 11 March 1828, at Troy, Peter Barton, a hotel-keeper, who was born at Saratoga Springs, N. Y., 24 Jan. 1806. They dwelt in Troy till 1830; at Saratoga Springs, till 1831; and then moved to Laurens, N. Y., where she died 9 Dec. 1862. He married (2d), 15 March 1864, her sister, Abigail Wilson; and died, 1 Ap. 1868, at Laurens, and was buried there, beside his first wife.

II. Henry Whitney Wilson, b. at Troy, N. Y., 11 March 1809; a clerk; married, 25 Sept. 1832, at 137 Third Street Troy, by Rev. Benjamin M. Hill, Baptist, to Louisa Van Valkenburgh, born in Fifth Street, Troy, 17 July 1814, dau. of James and Anna (Van Coot) Van Valkenburgh. They settled in Troy; moved to Milton, N. Y., in 1833; to Mayfield, N. Y., in 1834; to Watervliet, N. Y., in 1842; to Glen's Falls, N. Y., in 1843; to Warrensburgh, N. Y., in 1845; and were living, in July 1874, at Sandy Hill, N. Y. He has been justice of the peace and postmaster, and took an active pan, as first lieutenant, in raising Co. I, 96th Reg., N. Y. S. Volunteers, in the war of 1861.
