VI. Thomas Barnum, b. in Pompey, N. Y., 11 Dec. 1804; married, 10 March 1830, at Jamesville, in Manlius, now DeWitt, N. Y., Huldah Gillett, who was baptized at Wintonbury, now Bloomfield, Conn., 25 Dec. 1808, dau. of Jacob and Huldah (Filley) Gillett.1 They were living at Pontiac, Mich., in 1874.

VIII. Richard Whitney Barnum, b. in Pompey, N. Y., 19 Aug. 1808; a physician; married, 11 Oct. 1830, in Pompey, Rachel Gillett, who was baptized at Wintonbury, now Bloomfield, Conn., 1 Dec. 1811, dau. of Jacob and Huldah (Filley) Gillett.1 He settled in Bloomfield, Mich., about 1837; moved to Wisconsin, arriving there 29 Jan. 1857, and dwelt in Waterloo; afterward returned to Michigan, and settled one mile south of Goodrich, where he died of asthmatic consumption, 19 Dec. 1864, and was buried in Goodrich Cemetery. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. She married (2d) ----- Miller, and lived at Birch Run, Mich., in Jan. 1875.

IX. Rebecca Barnum, b. in Pompey, N. Y., 28 Jan. 1810; married, 3 Nov. 1831, at Pompey, Austin Squire, a farmer, born at Apulia, in Fabius, 8 June 1809, son of Jonathan and Joanna (Holmes) Squire. They settled at Apulia; and, in 1846, moved to Waterloo, Wis., where he died, 16 Aug. 1858, and was buried in the "cemetery near the white school-house."
