2300 II. John Barnum, b. in Pompey, N. Y., 6 Aug. 1797; died in Michigan, 9 May 1825.
2301 III. Isaac Barnum, b. in Pompey, N. Y., 22 July 1799; married, 19 Feb. 1821, in Bridgewater, N. Y., Lucy Root. 6926
2302 IV. Electa Barnum, b. in Pompey, N. Y., 4 Sept. 1801; married there, 30 Aug. 1829, Samuel Lewis; and died in Ohio, 18 Dec. 1832. 6928
2303 V. Josiah Barnum, b. in Pompey, N. Y., 30 Oct. 1803; died there, 15 May 1827, unmarried.
2304 VI. Thomas Barnum, b. in Pompey, N. Y., 11 Dec. 1804; married, 10 March 1830, at Jamesville, in Manlius, now DeWitt, N. Y., Huldah Gillett, who was baptized at Wintonbury, now Bloomfield, Conn., 25 Dec. 1808, dau. of Jacob and Huldah (Filley) Gillett.1 They were living at Pontiac, Mich., in 1874.
2305 VII. Levi Barnum, b. in Pompey, N. Y., 18 July 1807; died there, 30 March 1829.
2306 VIII. Richard Whitney Barnum, b. in Pompey, N. Y., 19 Aug. 1808; a physician; married, 11 Oct. 1830, in Pompey, Rachel Gillett, who was baptized at Wintonbury, now Bloomfield, Conn., 1 Dec. 1811, dau. of Jacob and Huldah (Filley) Gillett.1 He settled in Bloomfield, Mich., about 1837; moved to Wisconsin, arriving there 29 Jan. 1857, and dwelt in Waterloo; afterward returned to Michigan, and settled one mile south of Goodrich, where he died of asthmatic consumption, 19 Dec. 1864, and was buried in Goodrich Cemetery. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. She married (2d) ----- Miller, and lived at Birch Run, Mich., in Jan. 1875. 6929
2307 IX. Rebecca Barnum, b. in Pompey, N. Y., 28 Jan. 1810; married, 3 Nov. 1831, at Pompey, Austin Squire, a farmer, born at Apulia, in Fabius, 8 June 1809, son of Jonathan and Joanna (Holmes) Squire. They settled at Apulia; and, in 1846, moved to Waterloo, Wis., where he died, 16 Aug. 1858, and was buried in the "cemetery near the white school-house." She married (2d), at Waterloo, 23 Oct. 1859, James Giles, a 6937
