2838 III. Lewis Titus Hunt, b. in Ridgefield, Conn., 24 Sept. 1829; died there. 28 Nov. 1834, and was buried in North Salem, N. Y.
2839 IV. John Titus Hunt, b. in Ridgefield, Conn., 14 Ap. 1831; a farmer; married at North Salem, N. Y., 24 Oct. 1872, Ann Eliza Howe, dau. of Epenetus and Anne (Hunt) Howe, or North Salem, where she was born 3 March 1840. They were living at North Salem in March 1875. 8093
2840 V. Edward Townsend Hunt, b. in Ridgefield, Conn., 17 Jan. 1837; a farmer; married, 4 Nov. 1862, at North Salem, N. Y., Catharine Janet Hillyer, dau. of Rev. Shaler Justyn and Catharine (Tichenor) Hillyer, of North Salem, where she was born 10 March 1839. They settled in North Salem, and were living there in March 1875. 8094

Martha Crane Hunt, b. in Ridgefield, Conn., 21 Oct 1840; married, 18 Oct. 1859, at North Salem, N.Y., Thomas Vail, a farmer and hotel-keeper, son of William and Nancy (Howe) Vail, of North Salem, where he was born 4 May 1837. They settled in North Salem, and were living there in March 1875. 8095

2842 I. Elizabeth Rachel Bates, b. at Seneca Falls, N. Y., 26 Oct. 1833; married at McGregor, Iowa, John Quincy Mason. They were living at 410 Warren Avenue, Chicago, Ill., in June 1873.
2843 II. William Henry Harrison Bates, b. at Seneca Falls, N. Y., 4 March 1841; a farmer; married, 1 Jan. 1868, at Prairie du Chien, Wis., by Rev. B. C. Hammond, Methodist Episcopal, to Charlotte Ann May, who was born at Hollidaysburgh, Penn., 27 Oct. 1847, dau. of Andrew and Martha (Dubline) May. They settled in McGregor, Iowa; and afterward moved to Sand Creek, Nebraska, where they were living in July 1875. He enlisted at McGregor, 20 May 1861, in Co. C, 3d Reg., Iowa Vol. Infantry; and was discharged, as a corporal, at Benton Barracks, St. Louis, Mo., 4 Dec. 1861. 8097
