miller; married at Patterson, N. Y., 2 Oct 1822, Lydia Bolt, who was born in Putnam Co., N. Y., 27 May 1800, dau. of Azariah and Sarah (Lockwood) Bolt. He was admitted by letter, 19 Ap. 1845, to the fellowship of the Baptist Church at Towner's Four Corners, in Patterson; was chosen a deacon 7 June 1851, and dismissed 7 Feb. 1852; after which he belonged to the Baptist Church at Ludingtonville, in Kent. Tradition says that he was at one time licensed to preach. He lived, at one time, in Carmel, N. Y. They died in Beekman, N. Y. (he, 19 Sept. 1856; she, 16 Ap. 1864, "aged 63 years, 10 months, and 19 days"), and were buried in the cemetery near the Baptist Church at Towner's.

II. Levina Whitney, b. at Franklin, now Patterson, N. Y., 25 May 1802; married there, 23 May 1821, James Mills, a shoemaker, born in Ridgefield, Conn., son of Solomon and Polly (Baker) Mills. They lived in Ridgefield. She died in Patterson, 11 Ap. 1869, and was buried near the Baptist Church at Towner's, in Patterson. He was living in the south part of Patterson, in 1873.

III. Isaac Whitney, b. at Franklin, now Patterson, N. Y., 31 Dec. 1803; a farmer; married at Ramapo, N. Y., by Rev. James Demarest, of the Reformed Church, 19 March 1829, to Martha Youry, born at Ramapo, 31 Aug. 1806, dau. of Jonas and Jane (Tinkey) Youry, and widow of John Quackenbush. He settled, 1 Jan. 1828, at Spring Valley, N. Y.; where they were living in 1874, near the railway-station, without children.

IV. Julia Whitney, b. at Franklin, now Patterson, N. Y., 4 Oct. 1807; lived with her sister, Mrs. Mary (Whitney) Gay, in Candor (Jenksville post-office), N. Y., in 1873, unmarried.

V. Hannah Whitney, b. at Patterson, N. Y., 19 Aug. 1810; died there, 2 Ap. 1811; and was buried at Carmel, N. Y., in a small burial-place that has since been included in a storage reservoir for the Croton Water Works.

VI. Gershom Turney Whitney, b. at Patterson, N. Y., 9 May 1812; married Sarah Davis, dau. of Matthew Davis. They moved to Mexico, Ohio; and thence to Kansas Station, Ohio; where he was living, with a second wife, in 1874, but could not be induced to furnish any records.
