John Brundage Whitney, b. at Alexandria, Va., 22 Feb. 1827; an editor, printer and publisher; married Martha Ann Bailey; and was living at Charlestown, Mass., in Feb. 1874, then the editor and proprietor of The Railway Chronicle, a weekly paper, published at Room 12, 25 City Square, Charlestown.

I. George Fitch James, b. at Stockbridge, Mass., 28 Oct. 1796; a farmer; married at Brownhelm, Ohio, 28 Nov. 1822, Caroline Cowles Weed, dau. of Frederick and Abby (White) Weed. They settled at Brownhelm; where he died, 29 Oct 1864, and was buried. She then moved, with her children, to Council Bluffs, Iowa, where she died in the Spring of 1865.

II. Charles James, b. at Stockbridge, Mass., in Jan. 1798; went from home in 1822, and has not since been heard from by his friends, who suppose that he was drowned.

III. Hannah James, b. at Stockbridge, Mass., 4 March 1802; married at Brownhelm, Ohio, 27 Nov. 1823, Ezekiel Landon Goodrich, a cabinet-maker till 1830, then a merchant, born at Sheffield, Mass., 10 Sept. 1798, son of ----- and Amanda (Landon) Goodrich. They settled at Brownhelm, and there died (he, 2 Ap. 1855; she, 10 Sept. 1863), and were buried.

IV. Cordelia James, b. at Stockbridge, Mass., 17 Oct 1805; married at Brownhelm, Ohio, 27 Nov. 1827, Edward Parkhurst, a teacher, surveyor and farmer, of Brownhelm, son of Ephraim and Elizabeth (Luke) Parkhurst, of Framingham, Mass., where he was born 6 Aug. 1798.1 They settled at Brownhelm; where he died 9 Oct. 1850, and was buried in Brownhelm Cemetery. She was living at Brownhelm in May 1877.
